The NCLEX exam is a very difficult exam for those of us who did not go to nursing school in the USA!  It is a undeniable fact.  The 2008 NCLEX statistics from NCSBN show approximately 63% of those nurses educated outside the USA, fail the NCLEX (only 37% pass).  Canadian Travel Nurses’ statistics also back up this data.  For Nurses that we work with, who study ONLY using an NCLEX Review book, more than half fail the NCLEX.

This high failure rate IS NOT indicative of a lower standard of nursing education. In fact, I believe Canada has an equivalent if not higher standard of Nursing education.  The higher fail rate is most likely attributable to the different teaching and learning philosophies between the USA and Canada.  It is also an exam format unfamiliar to a nurse from Canada.  U.S. nursing students have 3-4 yrs of experience with this exam format, where as the NCLEX exam is usually a Canadian’s first exposure to it.  I have also found that US nurses memorize far more information than we do and we learn more critical thinking skills.  It means that you have years of memorization to catch up on!.

The moral of the story is TAKE A COURSE!  Pay the money up front.  It will save you money and time in the long run.  If you fail the exam you have to pay over a hundred dollars to retake it in addition to waiting 45 days and spending MORE time studying.

I happen to like this course but I don’t care if you buy this course from us or find another one from somebody else, just take a course.
